Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the yaku translation service at yakulang.com and the yaku command-line tool (collectively, the "Service"), operated by psmakes ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

The Service

yaku is a translation and text-polishing tool that uses artificial intelligence to generate translations. Translations are generated by machine and may not be perfectly accurate, complete, or appropriate for every context. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it for any purpose.

Accounts

Certain features of the Service may be used without an account. To access additional features and higher usage limits, you may create an account by signing in through a supported third-party authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials with those providers and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Usage Limits

The Service is subject to usage limits that may vary by account type. We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time. Attempts to circumvent usage limits — including but not limited to creating multiple accounts or manipulating device identifiers — may result in suspension or termination of access.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Generate, translate, or distribute content that is harmful, abusive, threatening, or hateful
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract proprietary methods or prompt logic from the Service
• Access the Service through automated means other than the provided API and command-line interfaces
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its output as a competing translation service

Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the content you submit to the Service. We do not claim ownership of your input text or the translations produced from it.

The Service — including its design, features, prompts, and underlying technology — is owned by psmakes and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The open-source yaku CLI is governed by its own license terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT TRANSLATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PSMAKES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion. You may discontinue use of the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
